People of all ages diagnosed with various typesof Cancers are taken care by Oncology Nurses. These nurses must be a RegisteredNurses, who should gain Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). This certification willbe obtained by clearing the NCLEX-RN Exam (National Council LicensureExamination). Also, they should ascertain the level of understanding eachpatient to educate them about their disease and the treatment given. Majorroles are lies in Assessing the patients, administration of proper dosage ofdrugs, safe handling, cytotoxic spills and maintenance of allergic reactions.
